Memory Making Momma (Fall Edition)

I am definitely in a season where I hate "stuff". From the clutter to the dust, more stuff equals more time that I have to spend cleaning my home which in turn means less time with my family.

Yesterday I took the day off - from cleaning, blogging... (I gave myself a little grace on my "blog every day for 30-days" plan), and instead we went and made some memories! I had already kind-of made up my mind that I wasn't going to blog on Sunday, because that's God's day...

Truthfully, not even that these days. I'd like to blame it on COVID, but it really has more to do with having my son in November... Colorado in November = snow... and despite the magic of breastmilk, newborns cannot have the flu shot and it just doesn't make sense to take them to large gathering areas until they've have either had the flu short or have made it past those first few months of life.

In our case, that season rolled into making the rounds to see family and introduce my Little to his world, followed by moving 30 miles north from where we were living and going to church, to buying a house and moving again, to (now) COVID. We have started fresh in many ways and with it, have to really find all new "life" needs - grocery store, hair stylist, maybe doctors, and, of course, a new church.

But I digress...

Yesterday I took the day off to be present with my family and we started conquering our Fall Bucket List!!

PLEASE tell me that you have a Fall Bucket List on reserves! This is 100% my favorite time of the year, with all the leaves changing colors, my favorite color has consistently been various shades of orange, and if you give me an excuse for coffee, campfires, pumpkin spiced EV-ER-Y-THING, and sweaters - I'M THERE!!

Here is one of my go-to Fall Bucket Lists:

I love to frame these lists and then display them on my kitchen counter!! You can easily pick up a cute frame from your nearest Michael's Arts & Crafts Stores, something like this Country Frame, Expressions By Studio Decor would be perfect!! Plus it adds both simplistic seasonal decor AND impromptu ideas for the day!

TIP: Purchase the 8x10 size to easily print at home and display away!! You can also write directly on the glass with a Wet Erase Marker of your choice - checking off the completed list as you go!

While I always encourage my readers to make it their own, here is my frame set up right next to my coffee maker and pumpkin scented candle to boot!

PUMPKING PATCHES & APPLE ORCHARDS - CHECK

We kind-of went all over North Denver, starting at Maize In the City, Thornton, and then making out way to Ya Ya Farm & Orchard, Longmont.

While the "U-Pick" Apples was closed due to a frost this year that didn't produce picking crops, the store was full of DELICIOUS apple goods including a NEW FAMILY FAV - that we will return for year after year: The Apple Donut!!!

You can read MORE about Ya Ya Orchard & Farm - PLUS - get a YUMMY "Bucket List Worthy" Apple Donut Recipe HERE!!
